John Daspit
Founder
Attorney John Daspit grew up in Houston before attending the University
of Texas at Austin, where he received Bachelor's and Master's degrees
in Accounting. After college, John returned home to go to law school at
the University of Houston. Before founding his own law firm, John worked
several years at Fulbright & Jaworski, one of the largest and most
prestigious law firms in the country.

In recent years, John Daspit has represented an oil and gas company seeking damages based on defective ERW pipe used in the building a 455 mile-long oil pipeline. The case settled the week before trial for $20.2 million. He has also represented a production and exploration company in an arbitration related to the interpretation of an area of mutual interest (AMI) provision. The other party demanded conveyance of the property interest or damages of $330 million.
