Lacy McKinney
ATTORNEY
Lacy is a native Texan and first-generation college student. She graduated
from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History with
a minor in Chemistry and Master of Arts Degree in Biology.
Lacy obtained her Juris Doctorate Degree from Texas A&M University School of Law. While in law school Lacy competed as an oralist in several advocacy competitions. These included the Pepperdine Entertainment Law Moot Court Competition, the ABA Labor and Employment Law Competition, and the AAJ Student Trail Advocacy Competition.
Lacy was also very involved in various student organizations. Lacy served as the President of the International Law Student Association and the Intellectual Property Aggies; Vice president of the Board of Advocates and the Women’s Law Society; and was a board member of the Student Bar Association.
While in law school, she had the opportunity to gain experience in several practice areas including Criminal Law, Corporate Law, and Intellectual Property Law. Lacy interned for the Honorable Earnest White of the 194th District Court in Dallas County, was an Extern for the Office of Technology Management at the University of Arlington, an extern for the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and an Intern at the DeLeon Law Group where she gained most of her litigation experience.
In her spare time Lacy enjoys reading, running, and watching movies.
